Careers that Include Web Design

There are many colleges in the United States and other places that inlcude Web Design as a course. You don't have to necessarily see the word "Web Design" in a course. Web Design are included in many careers, such as Architecture. Below are some Colleges/Universities that have Web Design as a course.

Cornell University - Cornell University has a wonderful Architecture, Art and Planning department. Many students all over the U.S applies for this department. If you are an Architect and is trying to attract more clients, you would probably be better of by constructing a website of marvelous Blueprints you've made.An estimate salry for an Architect is about $60,000 a year.

Full Sail University - Full Sail University which is located in Winter Park, FL is an excellent University for your computer needs. The school of Music Bussiness, is a school that consists of recording songs. It would be nice to design a website for this bussiness to attract different viewers with songs and artists.Since the music industry is very popular, people in the Music Industry rack up 80,000 - 100,000 dollars yearly.

New York University - The Polytechnic Institute of NYU, is a school based on Engineering. Engineering is very similar to Architect because, Engineers also create plans for houses. An engineer gets a similar salary to Architects.

HTML Glossary Terms

HTML - Hypertext Markup Language. The language used to write Web page

XHTML - Extensible HTML

HTTP - Hypertext Transfer Protocol. The set of rules used to exchange information on the Web. When seen as part of a URL, it tells the user-agent what protocol to use to gather the data for display/use.

GIF - A graphic format suited for flat color images and drawings. Created by CompuServ and often used for animated images on the Web. An acronym that stands for Graphics Interchange Format.


URL - URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. It is the address of a document or other resource on the Internet.

Meta - elements used to provide a structured metadata about a web page.

link - a web browser for sites systems.

script - a set of symbols in a writing system

body - contains all the cotents of an HTML file

ul - an unorder list, for instance bullet points

li - used in both ordered and unordered lists.

Flash is a computer program that emphasize on creating animations. You may want to use Flash if your trying to create a short, funny movie for a website you've created. Adobe Flash, can help you make motion tweens to actually make your shapes move. Adding Color and Text to your Motion Tween can make a perfect animation.

What I've created with Adobe Flash, can be added to website as a short humorous commercial.
I created my very own animation with Flash. My animation included a Motion Tween and Flashing Text.

By posting my animation to my website, I can reach out to many viewwers on the web. I believe I can grab many viewers minds with my animations. Adobe Flash helped me to make my website both humorous and to have a value.

Difference Between HTML and SWF

HTML is a code, to help construct web sites. However, SWF is used to construct videos into movies.
